Best Nigerian Crispy Fried Potatoes Ever – Barbecued fries


A lot of pan fried potatoes take wayyy longer than they should. You’re first asked to boil the potatoes then chop and fry them. We can hardly think of anything more annoying right?

The truth is, you don’t need to pre-cook the potatoes at all. You just need to slice ’em thin and choose the best oils…plural!

How to make Barbecued Fries♦

  • Slice potatoes into even thin slices about ¼” thick.

Barbecued spice

  • Rinse well to remove excess starch
  • Rub mixed spice all over it

Potatoes rub

  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat oils. Add potatoes and fry potatoes till golden and crusty underneath, 4 to 5 minutes. Flip potatoes and fry more
  • Serve
