How To Make Chicken Stir Fry Recipe

Chicken Stir Fry is one of my favourite Stir Fry recipes. This recipe is Asian inspired recipe, so today, we will be using Soy sauce and we will be incorporating some vegetables as well. Although, you do not need to use the exact vegetables the recipe calls for, feel free to pick and choose your preferred vegetables.

Ingredients Of My Chicken stir Fry

chicken cut into strips

3 Tablespoons Vegetable Oil

1 Tablespoon Cornflour or Cornstarch

3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce

2-3 Sweet Bell peppers cut into strips

1 Tablespoon Minced Garlic

1 Tablespoon Minced Ginger

1 Tablespoon Butter

½ Cup green onions

1 Tablespoon Brown Sugar [optional]

Medium Onion, Sliced

1 chicken Seasoning

Salt to taste

 

How To Make Chicken stir Fry

Marinate the chicken pieces. Leave to marinate for at least an hour.

Place a Skillet or Wok on medium heat. When it’s hot, add the Butter…

When the Butter is melted, add the chopped Onions and saute till the Onions caramelise. this should take 5-6 minutes.  Transfer the caramelised onions into a plate

Place the Wok back on the heat, then add the Vegetable oil. When it heats up, add the marinated chicken pieces.

Fry on both sides till brown and cooked. When it’s cooked, transfer the cooked chicken pieces into a plate.

Place the Wok back on the heat, now add the minced Garlic and Ginger, saute till fragrant…

Now increase the heat to high, then add the Peppers, Carrots or any other Vegetables you’ll be using. Saute for 3-4  minutes. You’ll need to work really fast here cos you’re working with high heat…

Then, add the chicken back into the wok or non- stick pan

Stir and combine, then add the Soy Sauce, Brown sugar and the chicken seasoning. Cook for 1 minute. You can mix the brown Sugar with the Soy Sauce before adding to the pan.

Then, add the caramelised Onions back into the wok, stir and combine, simmer for a minute.

Your chicken Stir Fry is ready…

All-done. You may serve with Chinese fried rice.
